French Country inpsired Cards

Well, I for one, am madly in love with this color scheme... I had the opportunity to visit the French Riviera when I was a senior in highschool and it was breathtaking! My fondest memory was when we stopped in Nice. The newer part of the city was "ehhh" but Old Town was incredible! The streets were so narrow a car could not fit through! The little storefronts were all stone and not many of them had windows, so the merchants would set up their products so that they were practically spilling out into the streets. And the colors everywhere were so rich and vibrant. I saw a lot of rich Marigolds and Cobalts and that's what sticks in my mind when I think of France. (I didn't take the photo below, but it's one of the streets in Old Town)
So, now lets get to the cards shall we? I used a Heidi Grace flower stamp for this and stamped it in a deep cobalt. I highlighted part of it with a marigold ink that I applied with a q-tip. I shaped and inked cardstock flowers. Then I went nutso with the stickles...lol.

As for the glitter...okay, I dont really use stickles brand, I use the big mondo craft bottles that you see in the holiday end caps at the craft store. I like to use the glitter glues with irredescent/pearly glitter rather than colored glitter. I prefer this type because they pick up the colors around them and then I dont have to stress matching the glitter to the project. It's less of a headach all around! Although I do own a couple tubes of Stickles, I'm not particular...lol. This is how I store my glitter glue...yes I remove it from the tube! I hate those squeezie bottles. They always clog and you dont have good control with them. I buy cheap little vaseline/lotion containers from discount stores and empty my glitter glues into these. They are airtight so the glitter glue doesn't dry up.
As for how I apply my glitter glue...I prefer to have more control so I use an embossing stylus! I just dip the end into the glitter and go nuts! Plus clean up is a breeze, I just wipe it off with a tissue when I'm done.

Lovely photo! I can see where you got your inspiration. The cards are great, too. Once my back is feeling better, I'll start making some more cards again. Geez. Turning 30 sucks, so don't do it!

I love your cards.. Gorgeous !!!

I do something similar with my glitter glue. I use cleaned old perscription bottles. They work great. I like the idea of the stylus I have been using toothpicks or cheap paint brushes I get at the dollar store.
