Super sneeky peek and an update from me!

First of all, lets get this sneek peek out of the way, I mean that's what you're here for right? lol





This is a full 8.5x11 sheet of paper, to give you an idea of scale on the stamps, I am going to be dividing these images into two stamp sets, and am hopefully not going to have to shrink the images. I want to keep them large enough to use a focal images on both cards and other paper craft projects. So cross your fingers....and without further delay:

And now for the boring update...I'm pretty much in my groove at work now, the job is exactly how I remember it and that's fine with me. I am so relieved to have been able to find a job there and even more relieved that I was able to meet my boss' high expectations. That's always stressful when you aren't sure you can be what someone else thinks you are. Did that even make sense?

Anyway, would love some feedback on the images, I know I love them, but I'm not sure how well they will do in the etsy shop. I had higher hopes for the birthday set, I think I've only sold one or two of them if I remember correctly. Oh well, they cant all be winners...lol. I dont have a release date yet, I'm still fine tuning the drawings, then as soon as I get one made and am happy with it I'll let you all know when they will be available.

OH and next month is a fun one, I am releasing a birthday set for you all to enjoy! Here's a peek of a card I just made with the set. This is the first chance I had to save myself a full set of stamps, how neato is that? Okay, neato, but I am slightly frustrated still with the manufacturing process, and my paper and ink...the eyes are still filling in too much and I am touching up the stamped image with a white gel pen to make the eyes pop better. I am confident that this issue will be resolved when I start contracting out the manufacturing.

And I want to ask feedback again, what do you all think of the font? Would you prefer a more "timeless" font and perhaps a flourished cursive type font here and there or stick with the "kid" type writing I've been using?? I really want to get this detail finalized before I start contracting out the manufacturing, so let me know!!

Winter in the Summertime party!!

Okay, it's finally time to clue everyone in...for the entire month of July I will be listing the "Hug a snowman" stamp set at a reduced price of $9.50! But this is a July only price, and at the end of July I will pull a walt disney and lock them away never to be seen again until October when I'll start selling them again at the regular $14 price. (sneaky I know...lol)

There will also be a fun contest announced mid-month, so be sure to watch the Lilac City Designs blog for that announcement!

And while you're over there jump over to the exclusive stamp sets page and take a gander at all of the current designs available. Because I am making them in batches at night, I may not have the specific sets you want available...but dont worry!! You can send me a message either through etsy or leave a comment on the blog with your first name and last initial, which set(s) you would like and also let me know if there is any time frame you *need* these in. As soon as they are ready I will list them as reserved on etsy with your name, you then have two weeks to claim them and after that I remove the reserve and they will go to the first buyer. Deal? (I will make an effort to contact you as soon as the listing is posted but I cant guarantee anything so if you request stamps make sure to check back in a few days and see if your listing is ready.)

I am so excited to be able to share this bit of information with you all...I have two stamp sets that are going to be sold exclusively through All Moments Remembered online scrapbook store!!

Now dont everyone go rushing off to the etsy shop, I dont have any to sell YET....heheheh. These bad boys are going to be shipped off to my inspiration team, while I get cranking on the stamps to sell. I found out the hard way last night that some of my lines are too thin on my kids. BLAST! But at least there will be more to upload to my slideshow gallery soon. Yippee! AND at least you all will know that the wait has just substantially shortened itself. This is a good thing!

Calling all Stampers!!

Hey everyone, as most of my readers know, I am undertaking a new venture of creating and selling acrylic stamps. Well I am in the tinkering stage, and hopefully should be up and running to sell stamps in a month. (that's my goal anyway) Until I am ready to sell stamps I am selling my handmade greeting cards via my etsy shop.

I have grand visions, but I need help. I am holding a call for a permanent inspiration team member, but I dont plan to stop there! I have every intention of inviting guests to the team for short term commitments. Oh and all those kids I have been posting on my cards, yeah those are destined to be mini stamp sets! I am aiming at releasing each kid in their own set with coordinating sentiments and a couple secondary images. But for the most part those kids are going to be my main stamp line, and I intend to keep adding seasonal and holiday kids too. I've got a few winter girls drawn up already but I fear it's a bit too soon to start posting those...LOL. Anyway, check back for more kids, I've got a karate kid in the works as well as some girl sports players.
