My Favorite Fall Memory

Now that we've officially had our first snowfall here, I just cant call it Fall anymore...so here's my favorite memory of the season:

We took our girls to the Finch Arboretum to see all the pretty leaves and to take a few pictures. We did this last year around the same time so that we could take our holiday pictures. So I guess now it's a bit of a family tradition to go back every year... Anyway, we noticed that the landscapers had roped off an area to pile up all the leaves while they were doing the clean up. Of course we pointed to the pile and said "Maddie loooooook!" She instantly started running full speed squealing her heart out. This is a big deal for tiny kids, this is their chance to make a mess, throw things, jump in a pile and get totally disgusting.

We missed the annual leaf party by one day, we were bummed, but it was still fun to play. (Last year there were about 20 or so other little kids playing when we showed up and the work crew had pulled out about 40 park benches and made a huge circle around the worlds biggest leaf pile. Tons of fun.) This year there were no benches, they had already put them away for the winter, but the leaves dont just stop falling because the party is over, so there was still a sizeable heap for the girls to play in.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Fall season this year!!

Too cute!! Those pics are great. I love the one of you holding a Starbucks...LOL! I just read your post on the NSBR about Starbucks, so I find it fitting you are holding a cup of their coffee :) I can't believe it snowed over there! No snow for us...yet. We're expecting rain tomorrow, and with temps below freezing, well, you get the idea.

Stay warm, my blogger friend :)
