Everyday should be cupcake day!!
Okay, I think I got that out of my system....lol. So, have you all be enjoying these weekly cupcake inspiration challenges as much as I have? Rachel over at Hope Stamps Eternal has quite the eye for picking out some yummy cupcakes. seriously, I could eat every single one of them. (well, maybe not that weird spider one that we ended up not using...that was just to EEEWIE...LOL) But seriously, gimme some milk! haha.
See that yellowish green background? See how I brought that theme into my card? Yeah, me neither. I had several sheets of the Junebug paper layed out for this card, all of them oozing this awesome yellowish hue...and nary a one made it to my final project. Looks like the red made it just fine though. ha! And it is so funny to me, because red is one of my least favorite colors. I dont own red clothing (aside from the one red sweatshirt that I stole from my hubby when he no longer fit into it...its perfect for jammies...lol) , no red decorations for my home, heck I dont even think my blood is red. In fact I am certain I actually bleed Stardust Stickles...Speaking of Stickles...have you SEEN these adorable Stampavie stamps designed by Tina Wenkle?? This is my first card using these stamps, and I am in LOVE I tell ya!! Look how happy this little guy is with his flower full of ice cream! awwww..... By the way, these stamps are awesome, they arent acrylic, they are photopolymer. So right away you are getting a firmer stamp, so when you put pressure on the stamp the image doesnt distort like the cheap stamps. And there was no priming, the image you see here was the first stamp, it came out crisp and clean right from the package! Gotta LOVE that! (That is a result of the manufacturing process, by the way. Photopolymer is light cured and then cleaned thoroughly in an ultrasonic cleaning solution to remove the uncured resin, so you will never get a nasty residue layer on your stamp.) And now that you have had your science lesson for the day....LOL.
