Its about dang time!

I needed a mannish birthday card for my brother in law...for this afternoon...so I figured I'd take a quick pic of it and upload it. I'm not jazzed with the picture quality but I'm too lazy to retake it, so there ya have it.
I'm also not too jazzed on my coloring for this one, I'm still learning copics, and myine bled a teeny bit, not to mention I didn't think to heat set the image before coloring. Grr. The turtles face started to bleed but hopefully nobody will notice that part. Copics sure are a whole new beast! I do like how you can move around the ink though, that is really neat!
Oh and fun news, I am branching out in my coloring techniques...I have been playing with watercolor pencils for a few months and those are really fun...so I bought some oil and chalk pastels yesterday. I went cheap though and got the $5 packs because who knows if I'll even really like them. But I'll at least give them a decent try!
Oh yeah, supply list...the stamp is Inkadinkado (from the Humorous Birthday set), patterned paper is basic grey (Perhaps, and Infuse) CS is Bazzill, acrylic paint, various inks (i used like 5 different ink pads to ink the edges of all the papers so that it would enhance but not be too obvious that I inked everything, and Copic markers.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Cute card Kelli! It's good to see you getting some creative "me" time in! The one thing I remember from working with my copics (i ended up selling them) was that the paper was really important. I can't remember what paper I settled on, but the tutorials and tips that Ellen Hutson and Michelle Wooderson had were what I went by mostly.
