Man, I am wiped out! I took the kiddos over to my parents' house to play in a kiddie swimming pool while my dad, sister and I went strawberry picking at a local fruit farm. Can you say exhausting?! It was 96 degrees on the bluff where the farm is, and it sure felt like it! We picked for about an hour, had three big boxes of berries for $10. Not too shabby. Cleaning, slicing, and freezer packing all of them took another hour and a half alone. But in a few days my sister is going to bring over some of her rhubarb and we're going to make some jam! Mmmmmm!!
Then because I am far too ambitious....we're going cherry picking on wednesday next week (if the orchards are picking, they dont have an exact opening date yet for the cherries). Haven't decided if we're bringing the kids, they might be more trouble than we're up for in the heat. I would love to make some pies (one to eat of course, and a couple to freeze for later.)
Oh and I have the polymer ordered, so it shouldn't be too long a wait for the Hug a Snowman stamp set. I am just blown away by how well the stamps have been doing. At this point the stamp making has become virtually self supporting, it may not be the case once I make the push for manufacturing but I haven't had to dip into the family finances yet to fund it since my dad's initial investment to help me get started! How cool is that?!
