So, do you ever have those sudden urges in the store to purchase a paper that's so "not you" but looks fun anyway? That was the case when I bought this MAMBI floral paper last year. I have had it sitting on my scrap bench for ages, begging to be used...but seriously, this was no easy paper to play with. I would match it with a stripe and then think "no way" then I'd pair a polka dot but the dots would get swallowed up by the wacked out flowers...so it sat. Finally I saw Twisted Chick use this paper in her blog and it looked awesome. So I figured, geez, I may as well FINALLY cut this paper up. I wasn't expecting much, but once I found the right cinnamon brown to use for the card base it was smooth sailing. Of course it doesn't hurt to have most of the pattern covered up by the "stuff" on top of the card....LOL
Anyway, the stamped sentiment is Heidi Grace, the flourishes are too I think...cant remember on the swirl, that could be inkadinkado. The ribbons are offray (brown satin) and dashes dots and checks (stitched). Patterned paper is MAMBI, and cardstock is Bazzill (cinnamony brown - not the actual name) and WorldWin (medium mostly mauve)

The card is just beautiful!! :)
I have not come very comfortable with PP, but trying to make myself use it more.
i love how you used that paper! it turned out amazingly!
I couldn't have ever used that paper in a full 12x12 LO. It looks great how you used it though.
wow, that ribbon color looks aweful on my husband's laptop...LOL...It's actually a nice medium chocolate brown ribbon, but on this particular computer screen it's a weird army green. *eyeroll here*
I hear ya Nicole! I was avoiding using it for a long time because it was soooo over the top busy...but in small doses I dont mind it so much now.
Fabulous cards!! I love what you did with that paper. :) I can completely see why you cut that stamp. I have that set too. You have more options with the words seperated.
Is that the separated stamp set?
time to sort eyelets by size and color in a dimly lit room. :)
Beautiful card, as always! I continue to get inspiration, tips and techniques from you. Thanks!
I love that paper....But I wouldn't be able to play with it.... Would want to and it would be a disaster... But, I love how you used it on the cards.. Really pretty...

pretty kelli! is that satin ribbon brown, not green?
I love these cards and feel very fortunate to have one of them sitting in front of me right now! Thanks for remembering my birthday! I think it was a good move to cut that HG sentiment stamp. It's now much more versatile.
