Sheer Laziness won out.
Well, confession time. I never sent in my Hall of Fame entry. Shocker, I know. I had it completed in PLENTY of time, I had about four weeks of thumb twiddling after I finished everything, but I just wasn't really "feeling it" when it came to actually mailing it. And to be quite frank, I got lazy about it. I knew I still "had time" and so it just sat, and sat some more. Then the deadline approached, I had a rude awakening that the rules were not what I had read any longer, they were different. (Grrrph.) So Yeah, I just didn't feel like going the extra mile on this one to get it in, I considered electronically entering on the morning of the deadline but I just didn't get motivated to do it. Laziness. That's all. So now i'll share with you all here. Perhaps there are still a few magazines that will accept submissions even if they have been blogged...we'll see. I know CK doesn't "like me", I've submitted probably 65 layouts to them and nada, so I gave up on them long ago. Besides, they are getting really "into" that lack of design style of layouts anyway, and that's not totally my thang.

I wished you would have sent your LO's in... I love them.............Good thing I have your blog bookmarked for scraplifting.... I love how your LO's are balanced...And your titles or journaling says the whole story..........I'm lacking in both those areas...And the colors always look good together and with the pictures......Don't sell yourself short.....Its a shame CK changed the rules.....That would bummed me out and I didn't even consider entering.......I hope you'll enter next year. And please enter SOY.....

Very nice Kelli! I'm glad you're at least comfortable with your decision. There's nothing worse than kicking yourself over something! I'm not on the inside track with all the HOF discussion, but from what I understand, it's left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Well, it's their loss -- your work is beautiful!

I know you did a lot of thinking about whether or not to enter, so I stand behind your decision. I still think you submit these for other calls. They are all "publication ready" in my eyes!
