Instant Birth Control for the Masses

So I am not so much a reality show watcher, however I do watch one. I am a regular viewer of TLC's "Jon & Kate plus 8" and I just have to say OH HOLY HECK NO! I think I'd go batty if I had that many! I always joke with my friends that if they need birth control they should just turn on this show. Seriously, ten minutes of this show is enough to send my uterus into permanent hibernation....well, okay so there isn't *actual* medical proof of this phenomenon...but still, its enough to make me avoid any physical contact with the mister until the shrill screams of those children have vacated my head....

On another note....for people who have seen this show at all, do any of you get as annoyed by that woman as I do? Dont get me wrong I record this show and watch it weekly, but that woman annoys the crap out of me. Her ability to over exaggerate every situation is uncanny. I mean, seriously, one blown out diaper sent her into a state of panic in the middle of the day during season one. And my husband and I are in total agreement that she's gonna lose her voice completely by the age of 40 if she doesn't shut of her screaming. OH MY! Now I know a few of my readers are fans of this show and think that "Jon and Kate" are perfect for each other, but I think that half of that "and" treats the other half like crap on national television and it's pretty sad.

**** And now for something completely different. My beautiful child Haleigh decided to wake up at O'dark thirty this morning. (5am!) Gasp...I know....how dare she. So I gritted my teeth and rolled out of bed to join her. I have to give her credit, she greeted me with a friendly game of peek a boo from her crib when I opened her bedroom door, but after only an hour or so of sleep myself, I am one miserable mommy until the mister gets home from work today (whenever that is.). So if you happen to be reading this, please, drink a mug or four of coffee in my honor, we all know I've already had 8!

LOL!!!! I totally agree about "John and Kate". She is just nutso sometimes, okay, most fo the times. I think with 8 kids she would learn to just let go of some things.

Thanks for the laugh!

I haven't seen the show, but can definitely state that 8 would make me crazy. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me a message. I can only imagine how the snow is up there. My parents are in Cheney, they are up over 25 inches now, apparently it is melting and icy in Spokane? Hope you don't get too cabin crazy.....Come visit again!

0'dark thirty is hilarious. My kids regularly get up at that time, luckily they are old enough now to go downstairs without me. They are noisy though.

I agree with you about Jon and Kate. I dont like that show and if my husband ever talked to me like that on natl tv we would have a serious problem.

I watch Jon and Kate plus 8 every week! It's one of the only shows I actually set a reminder for. Travis sits and watches it with me, and we both agree that next to visiting Wal*Mart on a weekend, it's the best type of birth control!

Sorry your little one woke you so early. I didn't get to sleep until 5 am thanks to someone and his never-ending snoring. Yup, I'm kind of tired...yawn.

Oh Nicole, try and watch the show...lol. This woman has a bit of an OCD tendency when it comes to cleaning her house and every little mess/problem/complication sends her into a stressed out loon...It's crazy to watch her progression. She's just a very intense personality and I'm certain the producers are leaving out her laid back and charming takes in favor of what the viewers want to see...ie the over stressed parent of 8.

Kate is definitely a tad bit controlling! But when you think about it, in order to handle that many kids, you have to be on one extreme or the other, a drill sgt or a one very laid-back momma!
