the tree died.

I made one of those cute little patterned paper looped trees this year...and I had taken it off the mantel and set it on top of my box of holiday decorations that I have already taken down and didn't think anything of it.

Well, I found my daughter taking it apart in the corner tonight...oops. She had the snowflakes off the top, and was pulling the pins out of the first three rows of loops....so I'll put the poor tree out of its misery after she goes to sleep and save it for a project next year....

Poor little tree didn't stand a chance up against a toddler!

And to answer the question in the backs of your minds...yes I've taken down my christmas decor already. It was only a half attempt at decorating this year anyway. I couldn't go all out on the tree ornaments because of the girls, they just take them of and break them, so all I did was hang scallop circles on the tree and decorate those...paper at its best! And then I decorated the mantel...that was it. And I didn't love it, so I was itching to take it down, for some reason it just made my living room feel messier than before, I dont know why. I do plan on making something cute for the mantel for valentines day though.
