I've been off and on hearing wonderful things about selling and buying on Etsy...and I'm on the cusp of diving in. I think I would focus my efforts in a few small areas to keep it "do-able", I enjoy pre-making blank layouts to use later, so I could go that route, and I'm really getting my mojo moving making a bunch of all occasion cards, so I plan to make coordinated card sets. Plus, I've had recommendations to make and sell some funky aprons, so I may do that too. I think it all depends on the Niche I want to inhabit, ya know? I mean, there is an etsy shop that from what I can tell caters mostly to funky camera straps, and that is awesome, everything in that shop is always sold out.
I like that etsy is all handmade, and that people shopping on etsy WANT handmade! So it's really the right community to turn to.
So for my readers who are etsy buyers and or sellers, give me some feedback here, how have your experiences been with etsy? is it a worthwile venue to explore? I've never done the craft shows, and I would love to participate in one or two in the future, I just dont have much to sell at the moment...but that's easily fixed...lol.
so, hit me with your best opinions, experiences and advice!

I love browsing around on Etsy and have toyed with the idea of opening my own little shop as well. I'm curious to see what others have to say on this topic. I'll check back later!
i just bought my first ever thing on etsy a couple of weeks ago. a super cute print of a painting by elsie flannigan. :)
i have no other info about buying or selling... but if the cost isn't crazy, i say go for it!!! :D
