One of my ex-boyfriends from Highschool contacted me last week on myspace. It was weird. My memory is pretty good, and I never did forget him cheating on me and then ditching me like a poop-crusted pair of old boots. So yeah, he actually used the phrase "I guess things didn't end well back then." Ya think? Here's my theory, he's recently removed from a pretty serious child-bearing relationship and he needs his ego stroked a bit. Fine. Whatever. Try knocking on someone elses' door for the pep talks would ya....
Oh, and this bit is even funnier to me. He saw a picture on my profile on myspace that has my hubby in it, and he tells me "he looks familiar." Okay, lets set the backdrop for this scene. The relationship ended in '99, I hadn't talked to him since. I started dating my husband while I was working at a camp between my junior and senior year in highschool, eventually i moved to Portland for school and my hubby was living in Vancouver....then years later we moved to Spokane....Now back to the original story...how would my hubby look familiar to my ex if a) they had never met, b) had never lived in the same city until 2004, and yet again c) HAVE NEVER MET!... It's just really bizarre to me that he contacted ME of all people.
Men are certainly a whole other species aren't they....ha!
OH and on a completely unrelated note: My hubby and I got some amazing take out last night. There's a restaurant here in town called Tomato Street...it's incredibly wonderful. I always order Bake Lazoni...no that's not a typo...It's lasagna inside a calzone smothered in your choice of sauce. I always go for the Alfredo. I am seriously considering concocting my own version of this heavenly wonder, because we cant get out of that restaurant for under $40! (I know, that's steep for pasta and bread...lol) Here's my observations in the matter. The lasagna must be pre-made, and cooled to room temperature so that it doesn't ooze all over when you cut it. Then you wrap it in the calzone and bake it like a traditional calzone from then on. That's got to be the secret, because each order is in itself it's own little (okay huge) calzone. That's gotta be it and when i'm brave enough to try to mess this one up, i'll let you know how it went down...lol.
