Okay, first off, check out this awesomeness: http://www.santana.com/atiaFlash.html , that intro song "Into the Night" by Carlos Santana with Chad Kroeger, THAT song has been on repeat in my head since last night. I heard it playing on the CBS show "Cane", I dont watch the show, i just forgot to change the channel while I was scrapbooking, so I listened to it...go figure. Anyway, I heard that song come on and thought "oooooh, is that new nickelback?" nope. Newish Santana instead. I am a hardcore Nickelback fan, not of their music though, of Chaddy-boy's gruff voice. I could listen to him all day long. It's one of those voices that just grips you, Kinda like "Jack" from Men in Trees, a voice you want to hear actually speaking to YOU.... I dont know, maybe it's a Canadian thing, because I dont hear that kinda voice here in podunck Spokane! Well, anyway, if you can snag a real copy of this song, you will not regret it, to hear it in good quality it is such a complex song. It blows my mind that Santana stayed somewhat "hidden" from the average joe for soooo long, I mean, he didn't it big until he started collaborating. And I know what you're thinking "but he was big, look at all his albums!" but I'm talking BIG...the kinda BIG where toddlers will dance around like spastic robots when his music starts blasting...that kind of BIG.....
So I am on a "freeze" from posting scrap pages again, gearing up for Hall of Fame. I know I know, most people would slap me, what with all the hoopla surrounding it, but It's my decision to enter and I want to give it a shot. I dont want to be super famous, I just want to have a page published one day. It's on my "things to do before I get too old and die" list. You know that list we all secretly keep stashed in our heads, well here's a small sampling of my list of things to do:
1. Keep my house clean on a daily basis.
2. Visit Scotland and Ireland.
3. Get a scrap page published.
4. Write a novel, or twenty. (I've started the "pre writing" process on this one)
5. Be a size 8.
6. Dye my hair real nice a sassy.
7. Exhibit in a craft show.
8. Stay in a bed in breakfast in the San Juan Islands.
9. visit Alaska.
10. Take a photography course.
11. Learn to drive a stick. (they really should require this in drivers-ed!)
12. Learn to play my guitar better.
13. Close the gap in my front teeth.
14. Go on a cruise.
15. Visit Hawaii.
That's it for now, but believe me, there are more!!
