Ever wonder just what you're going to do with that pair of elf feet from the studio g series 22?? Well, you're going to build a cute little elf holding a letter to santa, of course! hehe. So, To create this little elf, I did have to dip into last years' studio g's, for the hat, one of the snowflakes, and the ho!ho!ho!ho! border, the remainder are from this years' sets. I am way too addicted to the cute little dollar stamp sets, and I am determined to use every single one of them before I keel over. This card alone used SEVEN different stamps, do you believe it?
Okay, quick step by step of what I did here...I started by stamping off the hat and feet onto white cardstock, I spaced them about 2ish inches apart, and then colored the feet. I didn't like my coloring on the hat, so I stamped it again on red patterned paper and trimmed it down to size. After gluing the pieced bit, I used liquid applique to make a fluffy brim. Measure the space between the hat and feet and cut out a rectangle to make a letter out of...I lucked out by having the north pole postage cancellation stamp, otherwise I would have hand drawn that. I tilted the letter at a slight angle to make it more interesting but you dont even have to do that much. And if you wanted to get super creative you could cut out little hands to hold the edges of the letter.
Thanks for stopping by today!
